About Shift Closeout
Shift Closeout guides the shift manager through the records submitted for the selected shift. Depending on your site settings, the guide includes Production Data, Equipment, Hazards, Workplace Inspections (WPIs), Pre-starts and a Shift Report.
Use it at the end of a shift, or later from shift history, to check what was recorded, correct editable production data, approve each relevant area and prepare the shift information for reporting and handover.
Before You Begin
· The Enable End of Shift Wizard setting must be enabled for the Dashboard and Shift Closeout to appear.
· You need access to view Shift Closeout. Additional access controls whether you can edit or approve production data, review equipment, hazards, WPIs and pre-starts, or lock a shift.
· Where possible, confirm that operators have completed their shifts and synced their tablets before you begin.
Important: You can continue when tablets have not finished syncing, but the closeout and report may be incomplete. Return after the tablets sync to review and regenerate the report. |

2. Select the Dashboard tab.
3. Find Close out your shift under Your current shift. Check the displayed shift name, date and start/end times.

Back: Moves to the previous step. On the first step, Back returns to the Dashboard.
Next: Moves to the next step and names that step, for example, Next: Equipment.
Shift Closeout: The back arrow and Shift Closeout label return to the Dashboard.

The steps shown depend on your site settings. Production Data, Equipment, Pre-starts and Shift Report are always included. Hazards and WPIs are shown only when the related features are enabled.
1. Production Data

6. Close review mode, then select Approve for the module. The action changes to Approved when the module is approved.

Review and Complete the Shift Report
The Shift Report summarises the approved information from the closeout. It displays the site, shift manager, shift name and times, and shift date.
1. Review each report section: Production Data, Equipment, Hazards when enabled, Workplace Inspections when enabled, and Pre-starts.
2. Check that each expected approved record appears. Pending or in-progress production modules are not included in the report.
3. Enter any required information in the Notes box for each section. Notes save automatically two seconds after you stop typing.
4. If the Lock button is available and you need to prevent further editing, select Lock. Read the confirmation, then select Ok to proceed or Cancel to return.
5. Select Generate Report to open the browser print function. Use the available print or export options in that window.
6. Select Complete Wizard to mark the closeout as reviewed and return to the Dashboard.
Important: Lock makes the reviewed records no longer editable. LiveMine allows locking only when there is at least one approved module and no module is pending. All applicable records must be reviewed and approved before the shift can be locked. |
Note: If tablets are still syncing, the report warns that it may be incomplete. You can complete the closeout, then return after syncing to regenerate the report.

Confirm the Closeout Is Complete
After you select Complete Wizard:
· LiveMine returns to Home > Dashboard.
· The closeout is marked as reviewed.
· The completed closeout provides View and Download PDF actions.
Select View to reopen the completed closeout, or Download PDF to download its report. You can also select View all shift history to find it by date.
Note: LiveMine does not display a separate success message after Complete Wizard. Returning to the Dashboard and seeing View and Download PDF confirms that the closeout is complete. |
