Equipment in the LiveMine system is managed on a three tier table approach split between Makes, Models and the individual Assets.
Under each equipment Make, there are various types of equipment Models.
Equipment models should be as unique as the site needs to differentiate between model types. Remembering that individual Assets are identified in the Equipment table separately. Each Model here, may have more than one Asset that is grouped under the Model.
Standalone LiveMine systems can manage the entries in this window. Those systems paired with a third party database will need to make changes in the other database as per their site specific instructions and use the Sync tool in LiveMine to update this table.
The information below is for standalone LiveMine systems.
Add a Model
To add a Model to the list, click on the
button.
Assign it to a Make from the drop down list.
This list is managed under Equipment Makes list.
Give the model a Name.
Assign a Checklist to it from the drop down list.
This list is organised in the Prestart Checklists table in the back end.
The + sign can add a new Prestart Checklist to the back end checklist table, but this is NOT the recommended way.
If the equipment requires fuel levels to be recorded at start of shift, Fuel Capacity can be used here. Not mandatory.
External ID can be left blank, as it is used for third party database connections.
Click Save when finished.
Editing an Activity
To edit an entry, click on the
button.
Make your changes, and click save.
Entries can be made inactive and sent to the inactive list by clicking the
button.
NOTE: These Edit functions also exist in the sub tiers for Model Further Details.
Models - Further details
Models can be drilled down to further details by clicking on the
button.
Models - Equipment Tab
This display shows which Equipment Assets are mapped to the Equipment Model. The individual Assets are managed under the Equipment Management - Equipment section. It is advisable all creation and editing of Assets to Models be done in the Equipment Management - Equipment section.
Models - Capacities Tab
A numeric capacity can be applied to an equipment model. This is typically a nominal carrying capacity amount in a Truck or Loader. The units are undefined and site assumed.
Models - Meters Tab
Equipment statistic meters can be applied to a Model, such as Engine Hours. These get assigned here.
Add a Meter to a Model
To add a Model Meter to the selected Model, click on the
button when in the Meters tab of the Edit Model window.
Follow the prompts to choose the Meter and when to record the values during the shift and save to close.
This is an acceptable way to achieve the mapped pairing of a Meter and a Model, but the primary way is through the separate Meters section of the back end.
Models - Operations Tab
To ensure equipment is available for selection in the app modules the Models need to be mapped to back end Operations (app modules).
Map a Model to an Operation
While in the Edit Model window, click on the Operations tab.
Click on the
and select an Operation from the drop down list.
This list is managed in the Module Management - Operations section by your LiveMine administrator.
Click Save to finish.
It is possible to export any of these lists to a spreadsheet csv document by clicking on the
button. A csv file will be created and sent to your windows Downloads folder.
