Equipment in the LiveMine system is managed on a three tier table approach split between Makes, Models and the individual Assets.
The Equipment Makes table is a list of Equipment Manufacturer names that would have various different models of equipment on your site.
Standalone LiveMine systems can manage the entries in this window. Those systems paired with a third party database will need to make changes in the other database as per their site specific instructions and use the Sync tool in LiveMine to update this table.
The information below is for standalone LiveMine systems.
Add an Equipment Make entry
To add a new entry to the table, click the
button.
Fill out the name details.
As shown in the above example, this just needs to be the manufacturer name or ID.
External ID is used for third party database sync, leave blank.
Click save to finish.
Editing an Equipment Make entry
To edit an entry, click on the
button.
Make your changes, and click save.
Entries can be made inactive and sent to the inactive list by clicking the
button.
Further details about the entry can be seen by clicking on the
button. This will show editable details for the entry like the normal pencil edit button. But will also show you a list of Equipment Models that are mapped to this Equipment Make.
An alternative way of adding a new Model to the Equipment Models table is by clicking on the
button here and filling out its details. This is not the recommended way though.
It is possible to export any of these lists to an excel csv document by clicking on the
button. A csv file will be created and sent to your Windows Downloads folder.
