The LiveMine app requires users to choose locations for each activity they record. The list they have available is located here in the back end.
When choosing names for locations, make them as uniquely identifiable as possible to ensure operators know exactly where they are recording tasks. But make them useful. When it comes to thinking of how many locations are needed, it is best to consider all individual areas of the mine where any kind of task may be done that needs to be recorded on a production record.
Standalone LiveMine systems can manage the entries in this window. Those systems paired with a third party database will need to make changes in the other database as per their site specific instructions and use the Sync tool in LiveMine to update this table.
The information below is for standalone LiveMine systems.
Add a Location entry
To add a new entry to the table, click the
button.
Choose a Location Type from the drop down list.
This list is located in the Location Types section.
Fill out the name details.
This is what the App users see when looking for a location in the list.
40 Characters limit is a good guideline to adhere to. Otherwise you may lose characters due to screen size limits.
Give it a Priority number.
Priority is a numeric ordering that can be applied to locations so they appear in a specific order to operators when using the app. More important ones can be given a higher order number to appear earlier in the list.
If no priority is given, the system will order by alpha-numeric order.
Example
