To manage who has access to the LiveMine back end and what privileges they have can be done in the User Management section.
Users
In the Users list are all the accounts registered to your LiveMine back end instance.
These are people who can log in to the back end and look at production results, reference tables and other things, depending upon their Role privileges set for them.
Adding a new User
To add a new user, click on the
button.
Complete the name and password details.
Use the Force New Password check box to allow the user to set their own password when logging in for the first time. You can set them a generic one to get to this point when creating their account.
Select a role for the user from the list.
This list is from the Roles section. Each role will have different abilities to read and/or write information in the LiveMine back end.
Click Save to finish.
Editing a User.
You can edit a user's details by clicking on the edit button.
Make your changes and click save again.
This can be useful for when a user forgets their password, allowing them to choose a new one.
Users can be deactivated here too and sent to the inactive list by clicking on the
button.
It is possible to export this entire list to a spreadsheet csv document by clicking on the
button. A csv file will be created and sent to your windows Downloads folder.
Roles
The roles page is a list of privilege categories that user profiles can be assigned that allows them to do a combination of read and write abilities in the LiveMine back end.
Each Role is made up of individual Claims.
The Claims govern specific areas of the LiveMine webapp system and whether a User can Read Only or Read/Write certain areas in the system.
Most LiveMine systems will be set up with a few generalised roles that can be applied to new users.
Further customisation can be done by Administration level users in the system.
