The user management section contains menus and controls for managing LiveMine back end users, App operators and devices on the system.
Operators - Managing the users of the LiveMine Tablet app.
Users of the LiveMine (Tablet) application should be listed here.
Standalone LiveMine systems can manage the entries in this window. Those systems paired with a third party database will need to make changes in the other database as per their site specific instructions and use the Sync tool in LiveMine to update this table.
The information below is for standalone LiveMine systems.
Adding a new operator name.
To add an operator to the list, click on the
to create a new entry.

Employee ID number is required, but if your system doesn't want to apply, just enter a letter or number. This WILL be shown on the tablet to operators when they log in. It helps to uniquely identify persons sharing common names.
Click Save to complete.

Device Approval - Managing the devices on the system.
The list of devices connected to your LiveMine system can be found here.
Device Status explanations:
Approved: The device is ready for use on the LiveMine system.
Devices set to Approved are being allocated a device license.
Information on licenses can be found at Licensing
Pending: Has been registered on the system and is awaiting approval by a back end admin user to connect to the server for use.
Some systems will have auto approval for new devices, as long as there are available device licenses.
Back end admin users can go and set Denied to unwanted devices if necessary.
Devices set to Pending will not be allocated a license.
Reset: When a device has undergone an major update or the software has been reinstalled, it will be set to Reset here.
After completion of the update, the device can then be changed to Approved.
Denied: A device is registered on the system, but is currently Denied access.
Devices set to Denied will not be allocated a license.
Editing Device Information
If your LiveMine installation is tied to a 3rd party database, follow your site specific instructions for synchronising tables when editing any reference table.
To edit any of the device information click on the pencil icon

The Name is the device name that is displayed by the device to networks. Typically setup by your IT team or system administrator.
!! Important: It is advisable to set this name to the Physical Tablet name. I.e Any sticker name you have on the tablet case, should be put in here. This will assist with tablet and user management issues.
The unique identifier is how the device is uniquely identified by LiveMine.
You can deactivate a device in the edit menu and send it to the inactive list by clicking on
.
Adding a New Device
The recommended way to add a new device to the server is through using the LiveMine app on the tablet itself. NOT using this
button.
Ensure the LiveMine app on the new device is targeting the LiveMine server on your site.
Hint: This is normally the same address that you use to connect to the back end in the web browser.
Once this is set and the device makes its first attempt to connect to the server, it will get authenticated by default (if system setting to auto approval) and approved.
If there is an issue and the device does not get automatically approved, a back end server administration user can then come to this list, see its status as Pending, click on the edit
button, and change it to Approved.
