Module specific reference tables are contained in the Module Management section of the web app.
The Production Drilling module requires reference tables for Drill Activity settings, Drill Plans and Hole Sizes.
It is possible to export any of these lists to a spreadsheet csv document by clicking on the
button. A csv file will be created and sent to your windows Downloads folder.
Drill Activities
The drill activities page lists the available options a driller will have available when creating their production records. These are just text options and it is up to the client site what they wish to appear for their operators that will also be meaningful for production reporting purposes.
Add and Editing a Development Drill Activity entry.
Adding new activity entries can be done a couple of different ways. NOTE: the creation of drill activities using these instructions only applies to standalone LiveMine setups (not linked to other database lists).
The primary way is to enter them through the primary activity list (Mine Management - Activities) and assign the activity to the Production Drilling operation.
The other way is done through this production drilling activity screen, but will also add it to the main list at the same time.
To add a new entry click on the
button.
On the new window, click on the
button.
On the "Add Activity" window that now appears, click on the Operation dropdown button and select your production drilling operation.
Name: enter a name. This is what the operators will see on the tablet and what report viewers will see when reviewing production records.
External ID is used for 3rd party database linking and will be automatically applied when syncing lists. Not required for standalone LiveMine.
Click
to accept and close.
If the Drill Activity is to be able to be used for re-accessing a 'drilled' hole, then the [Is Redrill] checkbox must be turned on.
I.e. activities like Redrill, hole cleaning etc, this must be turned on.
Holes that are 'drilled' by using a normal drilling activity on the tablet, will no longer be available for selection when using a normal 'drilling' activity.
To edit an existing Drill Activity click on the
button.
Make your changes and click
to accept and close.
To deactivate an activity from the list click on the
button.
This only works for LiveMine running in standalone, i.e. not syncing with another database list source. To deactivate activities from another database, follow the site specific procedure for the software you are running.
Drill Plans
Production drill plans can be uploaded to LiveMine which will allow drillers to use the app module to record their drilling actuals versus drill plan design information.
Adding a Drill Plan to LiveMine
These instructions are only for standalone LiveMine setups. If your LiveMine server is integrated with another database that manages your drill plans, and if the process is set as so on your site, follow your site specific instructions for drill plan upload to that software.
To add a new Drill Plan click the
button.
Choose a Location from the dropdown list.
You can type in part of the location name to use the dynamic search filter.
Give the plan a Name. This will be visible to operators in the tablet. eg. R1-R10; Ring1-Ring10.
Select a Status. Draft will not release to tablets. Open will release to tablets. Closed will not.
Click
to accept and close.
View a Plan
Further details of the plan, and general editing, can be done by clicking on the
button for the plan.
In this further details area of the drill plan there are two ways to create the specific rings and holes for the plan.
Manual
Rings and holes can be manually added one by one into the LiveMine system drill plans.
To do so, click the
to add a ring manually.
Give the ring a Name.
The Is Closed checkbox is used to mark a Ring as Drilled and complete.
This is only useful for manually closing off a ring from being 'drilled'. It can still be accessed by tablet users when they use a Redrill activity.
Click
to accept and close.
To add individual holes to the ring, click the
button to open the ring.
Single holes can be added one at a time by clicking the
button, then complete the fields in the dialog box.
Number: the number of the hole.
Production Drill Hole Size: select a hole size if required, this is sourced from the Hole Sizes list in Production Drilling settings.
Length: Length of the designed hole.
Is Breakthrough: If the hole breakthrough into void by design, check this. If not breakthrough, unmarked.
Dump Angle: Dump angle of the hole.
Rotation angle: Rotation or Inclination of the hole.
Is Closed: Manually flag a hole as 'drilled'. Will not be able to be accessed on tablet when choosing a normal drilling activity. Only redrill activity will be able to access this hole on tablet.
Click
to accept and close.
Repeat as required.
Bulk Upload (Automatic Hole addition).
When in a Drill Plan, click on the
tab.
Upload Production Drill Plan
Import data from an excel spreadsheet into this plan.
The import will add any records where the name does not exist.
The import will edit any records with matching names.
The import will not delete any data already in the plan.
Dump angle and rotation angle fields may be left blank.
You can download an example plan in the upload plan window (a local copy of the template will be hosted on your livemine server, a clickable link there).

A tool to convert an exported UGDB drill plan from Deswik, to import into LiveMine easily.
Create a drill plan in the format shown by the LiveMine template file.
To upload the drill plan file to this drill plan in LiveMine click the

Follow the prompts and find the drill plan spreadsheet file.
Click Upload.
Repeat for each required Drill Plan.
Hole Sizes
The hole sizes table is used by the production drilling module for hole size selection when recording drill hole actuals on the table application.
This is also used by the charge module, production charging section to record holes charged at what diameter.
