The LiveMine backend administration web page is where all of the controls and reference tables exist for your LiveMine installation.

There are control elements in the LiveMine backend that operate in a similar manner throughout the entire system. We'll cover the basics of understanding the backend functions in this article, while leaving function information that is relevant to specific sections, on their relevant help file pages.

Important note! The LiveMine app on the tablet requires a lot of list tables that it can look for on the LiveMine server and populate fields that allow operators to choose and complete their daily shift records.

Each section of the LiveMine backend administration area is typically one or more reference table lists that are required by the LiveMine app. The layout of each section will look and feel similar to another with some minor changes in each due to their specific functions.

The navigation panel visibility can be toggled by clicking on the menu button,

If you have write permissions as a user and your instance of LiveMine is standalone, then you will be able to use some of the primary control buttons.

Common Functions

Adding New Entries

Each reference list page in the back end web app has a variation of the Add New button.

The Add New popup windows all have common elements too, requiring a Name field, and sometimes a few other attributes to be entered.

If the External ID is present, this is used solely for Syncing with a Third Party database and will auto-populate during synchronisation with the database.

Editing Line Entries

To edit any line item, you can click on the Pencil icon or the Arrow icon to bring up further options relevant to the backend section you are operating in.

Exporting Lists to CSV

Each table list can also be exported to a spreadsheet file using the Export to Excel button. The export will create a .CSV file in your default downloads folder.
